INSPECTION & RECERTIFICATION
Why should I have my safety systems and equipment certified?
New Zealand Standards and best practice guidelines require fall protection equipment, anchor points and safety systems to be inspected & certified by a suitably competent person prior to first use and then on a regular basis. This inspection and certification is to ensure that the equipment is correctly installed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. It is also important to ensure the structure to which an anchor is attached is adequate for the imposed loads and has not been modified and/or deteriorated in any way that the structural adequacy could be affected. To ensure that your systems are continually maintained and certified to the relevant New Zealand standards and guidelines, Essential Safety Ltd offer an inspection and recertification service. This service covers installed fall protection systems, safe access equipment such as ladders, platforms and walkways, and also Personal Protective Equipment such as harness, ropes, lanyards and slings.
